Default PLUGS/WIRES/K&N FILTER KIT SPECS QUESTION

I BAUGHT A K&N FILTER KIT (FILTER AND IDAPTER FOR IT FOR THE AIR BOX) I WANT TO REMOVE THAT BIG CLUNKY LOOKING AIR BOX AND REPLACE IT WITH JUST THE CONE FILTER. I DIDNT WANT TO BUY AN INTAKE KIT WITH THE POLISHED PIPING AND ALL, I WANTED TO USE THE STOCK PLASTIC PIPING. NOW THE KIT SAYS THE Filter and adapter have a 76mm / 3-inch diameter, IS THE STOCK PLASTIC PIPING GOING INTO THE INTAKE FROM THE AIR BOX THIS DIAMETER? HOPEFULLY IT IS. ALSO I WANT TO CHANGE THE PLUGS AND WIRES. WHAT IS A GOOD COMBINATION? I READ ON A COULE SITES THAT BOSCH IS THE WAY TO GO. I ALSO HAVE HEARD HOROR STORIES ABOUT CHANGING THE BACK 3, HOW TUFF IS IT, I KNOW THE INTAKE MANIFOLD HAS TO COME OFF INORDER TO REACH THE BACK ONES RIGHT?

1. dont put bosch in your car, unless theyre free, and you want to change them in a week. actually, dont put them in at all. buy NGK.

2. its a nightmare. omst shops charge 3-4 hours of labor to change them. the fronts take about 5 minutes, the back takes the other 3-4 hours.

3. to put a cone filter in the place of the stock air box, you have to bolt up an adapter that goes on the mass air flow sensor housing. once you have that, you can remove all of that stock air box, and bolt up a regular cone filter...i have included a picture with the MAFS adapter pointed out.
