Default engine swap

I currently have a 2.4 DOHC 4cyl sedan stratus and im thinking about engine swaping it with the 3.0l V6 or anything that ill get my moneys worth. The reason is cause its so hard to find performance parts for mine and its very fustrating. So hopefully this swap will make it easier for me to make mods to it. WHAT DO YOU THINK????

Did you know that you can turbo just about any motor?

Also, isn't that motor a variant of the turbo motor 2.4L in the PT Cruiser Turbo?...or am I confusing the two?

Yours is the same 2.4L motor as the SRT-4 and PT Cruiser Turbo, just without the turbo and higher compression and this and that. See, there's more than you think to your motor. The 6g72 V6 isn't that great by itself bro, ask the guys who have them. They even turbo that motor or supercharge it, so swapping that motor into your chasis is counterproductive IMO.
You can also keep your motor and get a turbo for it, but you would have to either modify a header with a turbo flange and wastegate or find the turbo 2.4L header and intake manifold. There may even be a "kit" for it...I don't know enough about your motor though, other than a guy with an Avenger using one and getting parts from the other two vehicles to turbo it = 2.4L turbo Avenger.

*edit*
Here's some good info on the 2.4L

I would just turbo the 2.4L that you have. If your motor is fallin apart on ya than swaping to a 3.0L would probably be a good idea. I've got the 2.5L and I plan on doin a 3.0L swap in the future. I'm not an engine expert. You can talk to Rich at Dreamspeed about turbocharging
