got a 1/2 tank of gas but has a hard time getting it started

i've looked through all threads but come up with anything maybe you can help, problem the car runs great with a full tank but as soon has it hits a half of a tank it still runs good the problem is that when you cran it it acts like their is no gas but as soon as get get it started you can run it till E but you better make sure your at a pump the closer it gets to E the harder it is to get started any body got an answer ????

I'm not sure how how Dodge designed the pickup tube in the tank but it's possible that it's cracked. It would act like trying to use a straw with a crack in it.
