Default ??Does the STRATUS have a timing belt that needs to be changed

My wifes 98 Stratus has about 60,000 km on it. Do I need to change the timing belt on these cars??

most t-belts are good for 160,000 km. call the local dealer and ask for a copy of the recomd service plan. if you ask if it needs to be changed they might say yes. if you know of a good local mech ask them first. my 02 has 80,000 km and is still good.

I'm sure you're ok for now. I changed the timing belt on my 98 Neon RT this year at 186,000 kilometers/116,000 miles (I'm not even joking) and the belt looked like new. No cracks or wear at all. But when you do replace the belt make sure you also do the tensioner and idler pulleys.
