Default 01 Radiator stop leak questions

I bought an 01 stratus SE 2.7 V6 about 4 weeks ago. Had some heater issues and thanks to this site replaced the thermostat and now that works. A couple weeks ago it started to smoke when I made it to work, about a 1 hour drive. Finally figured out that the radiator has a leak and I think had stop leak in it before because the coolant was brown. I added some more to it to hopefully make it a week or 2 longer before having to replace the radiator. I have 2 questions. How many times can I add Barr's stop leak to my radiator before finally replacing it? and If I buy a repair manual for my car would it be pretty simple for my boyfreind to replace the radiator? ( He's not very familiar with the newer cars.) Of course money's always an issue, so I'm trying to make it last til after the holidays or spend as little as possible to have it fixed. Any and all help is appreciated. Thanks in advance!
