What the heck gear is this?!?!

I just bought a 96 Stratus STD Sedan. LOVE IT! (And I hate admitting that because Ive never owned anything except Fords!) The only thing I can find wrong with her is that when I have the headlamps on at night, the shifter panel doesnt have a light telling me which gear I am in. I assume its a small electrical issue...but not being a Dodge person, Im a little scared to start ripping apart the module. So, I ask...if its no bigs to get in there and take a look, how do I do that? Where am I looking? And, if its a cheap thing to fix...what the heck is the part called? Appreciate any help!

are there any lights on the shifter itself? on the bottom...aka where it saids P, R, N, D... if those light up then thats the only indicator your going to get...

Yes, the lights showing the gears is there. Its does just appear to be the indicator.

Now, I found a TSB that discusses it...but I haven't been able to find any detail to that TSB (#080698) to find if its the same indicator that I am referencing. I called the local dodge dealer who told me that I would need to bring it in for them to see what I am talking about (I dont know how I could be more clear that the indicator isn't lighting up!). But, I really dont want to do that.

Im VERY electrically inclined and would like to fix it myself. Is there a part number for such a thing? I cant seem to find one on the dodge parts websites.
