Default Stratus V6 3.0 Mileage:

I have 71k miles on it. I am seeing that this problem is common among the Dodge with mitsu motors. I cleaned the throttle plate and replaced my starter motor. That seems to have done the trick but after that was okay it felt as though the transmission timing was off on accelerating after 3K rpm. I beleive after reading on the forum that my computer had compensated for when the throttle plate had carbon deposits on it so when it was cleaned it still assumed it was dirty. I reved the engine at 3000 rpm in nuetral for 1.5 minutes. I shut the car off and disconnected the battery for an extra measure to reset the computer. That seems to have done the trick and my transmission doesn't slip when the autotrans shifts after 3000rpm.

'02 se+, 2.7 v-6, power everything. 75K+ with 3 years on german autobahn and still kicking ass. only repairs are the vac hoses running to the top of the gas tank tossing a check eng light. but the cats do rattle as they are cracked inside.
