i bout my 01 stratus r/t from a repo company. the car only had 96k miles, perfect leather seats, smooth tranny and clutch was really nice. i only paid $4720. granted, i think i got a damn good deal, butmy car on kbb is worth 9k. 6500 is still an amazing deal. its a really nice car and it only took bout a week for me to luv it. i think its definitly somthing for u to consider, its a good price

$6500 is not bad, but definitely not a steal. Depending on what options it has (or lack of) you may be right at retail.
93k is high mileage, and if you need to replace the timing belt (Should have been done at the 70k mark) that adds another $800- $1000 to the bill (yes, replacement is THAT expensive, and necessary.).

Key features you want are the moonroof, ABS, leather (you have).
Check www.edmunds.com for value, as well as look at what they sell for on eBay. The coupe does not hold value well.

It's a decent price, right on the middle ground. I paid $6300 for my '01 R/T 5spd w/ 80k on the clock. Before buying, be sure to check the dash for cracks anywhere, as well as the rear brakelight bar across the trunk. Semi-common problems that might get you a lower price if you see it and still want it If they say the timing belt has been changed, make them show proof.

EVERY rear brake light cracked inside...i didnt get mine fixed under the TSB...

nada says that my car is worth 10,950 (retail) and9,000 (trade), and kbb says 12,000 (retail) and 7500 (trade, good condition).

I would probably accept any of the above offers for my car...

heres a couple more questions i have for you guys. How much should a mechanic charge to have it looked at. I dont want to be taken to the house by some dishonest mechanic.
Yes the rear break lights were cracked but its a minor thing for me. the dealer didnt know if the timing belt was changed. is there any way to find out? Also do all stratus rt have a amp underneath the drivers seat. thats what i heard but im not sure. thanks for all the help guys. im pretty much settled on the car but would value the opinions of those who own or have knowledge of the car. Thanks
David
