i bout my 01 stratus r/t from a repo company. the car only had 96k miles, perfect leather seats, smooth tranny and clutch was really nice. i only paid $4720. granted, i think i got a damn good deal, butmy car on kbb is worth 9k. 6500 is still an amazing deal. its a really nice car and it only took bout a week for me to luv it. i think its definitly somthing for u to consider, its a good price
$6500 is not bad, but definitely not a steal. Depending on what options it has (or lack of) you may be right at retail.
93k is high mileage, and if you need to replace the timing belt (Should have been done at the 70k mark) that adds another $800- $1000 to the bill (yes, replacement is THAT expensive, and necessary.).
Key features you want are the moonroof, ABS, leather (you have).
Check www.edmunds.com for value, as well as look at what they sell for on eBay. The coupe does not hold value well.

It's a decent price, right on the middle ground. I paid $6300 for my '01 R/T 5spd w/ 80k on the clock. Before buying, be sure to check the dash for cracks anywhere, as well as the rear brakelight bar across the trunk. Semi-common problems that might get you a lower price if you see it and still want it If they say the timing belt has been changed, make them show proof.
heres a couple more questions i have for you guys. How much should a mechanic charge to have it looked at. I dont want to be taken to the house by some dishonest mechanic.
Yes the rear break lights were cracked but its a minor thing for me. the dealer didnt know if the timing belt was changed. is there any way to find out? Also do all stratus rt have a amp underneath the drivers seat. thats what i heard but im not sure. thanks for all the help guys. im pretty much settled on the car but would value the opinions of those who own or have knowledge of the car. Thanks
David
yes, the r/t comes with a stock amp under the seat. it comes with the infinty system.. and to be honest with ya, i really dont know about getting you car looked at. i have no idea how much it will be. so, wat did u decide??
well guys tomorrow is the day. im finally buying my r/t. im so excited. i tell people im getting a dodge stratus and there like oh.... thats it. I dont think they understand the difference this has from other dodge's. Its almost a mitsubishi. well anyways.... its looks hot and i love it and thats all that matters. i took it to a mechanic and said the guy who had it obviosly took care of it very well. problem is i dont know much about cars and will be always seeking help from u guys since many of u know alot more then me. ill be posting a pic of the car soon so u guys can see why i love the car so much. thanks guys!
