Default '02 RPMs?

I am new to this side of the forum...came over from the Ram side. Any way, here's my question. My wife's car is a Stratus sedan '02 with the standard 4-banger, 2.4L, SOHC. I had to drive it recently and noticed at about 60mph, the RPMs were running around 2100-2200. Is that the normal range? Is it because that little monkey just has to pedal a little harder to keep up? I'm always been a truck guy and my Rams havealways ran around 1700 at the same speed. Save the cracks about "where's my HEMI,in the shop?" She had just had surgery and wouldn't have been able to step up into the truck. Thanks...
