Default air filter on 2006 stratus

How do you get the air filter out? I got the two clips unlatched but you can't pull the filter out? This is a circular fliter. The filter is located in the plastic housing. Any help?

Default RE: air filter on 2006 stratus

what size engine, i have a 2.7 lt V6. and its an '05 sxt

if you have a smaller engine i think that urs will be diff from mine.

But on mine I had to pull off that box(air cleaner) a wire harnes is clipped on the left side, it just comes off it just hangs there. and pull it out slowly. Its a tight fit cause of the wires right above it .then u should be able to get to the air filter, it pops right off..

Then put ir back together the same way, there are 4 small posts on the bottom just line those up with ur fingers and box and it will go back in easily.

Just dont 4get to put that wire clip that holds the set of wired on the side of air cleaner( This i forgot to do and after a month when the readiator fan turned on it started to make a real loud noise, i was worried, but i looked and the wire was sticking into fan, i just forgot to hang wire back up.

Good luck, if you dont have a V6 this prob wont help, but it might
