2008 viper drive by wire throttle

Being very old school, and just purchasing a new viper, I really would like to know how this drive by wire throttle works. After the problems with the Lexus, 600 HP with a stuck throttle could be a major problem. Help

Are you saying the new Viper has no throttle cable? I know my 09 Ram no longer has one either. Deep down inside it bothers me as well. Imagine what will happen in 10 years with all of these trucks and cars roaming the road.

DBW sucks. I cannot believe performance cars have it...I can only imagine the Lag issues.
