Stop it with the bold, caps, and name calling. I'd like to see this Hennesey conversation to keep going. Chase... John Hennessey is ripping Viper Venom owners a new hole. The things Hennessey does to the Venom makes it so you have to go to him for parts/tune-ups no matter what... and just because you send your Viper to his shop doesn't mean you'll have the parts that were originally on it. He's known in several cases for stealing and swaping parts, things that shouldn't be done without the costumers knowledge.

thanks Matt, I thought I was in this alone on trying to get the point across. I wish it wasnt true about Hennessey, but unfortunately it is.

Conceptually the 1000 TT is awesome but for all practical purposes it would be a very expensive car to keep up with and thats beyond the actual cost of the initial upgrade cost plus the Viper itself. I think alot of people dont realize that he only has the one location and that he isnt directly associated with Dodge even in the relationship way that you might have come to think Saleen is to Ford or something similar.

I will admit that I have heard more of the bad stories than the good and thats usually the way it is. Thats the way it works sometimes, nobody really brags about how a dealership did such a good job repairing your car or that the last hamburger you had at McDonalds was really good but if you have a bad experience your gonna tell everyone how they screwed up your car or how bad that burger sucked. Same goes with Hennessey I suppose, I am sure there at least a few that are pleased by his work and good for them, they might have gotten their moneys worth. But if I was to spend $150,000 on an exotic, it better be damn near perfect and I would expect little to no problems with it for more than a year without knowing that after that I am going to have to whip out the checkbook again to fix something regardless of how big or small the issue may be.

Never once did I say that he didn't steal and the parts didn't break. You did say tune-up, but now it's edited and I can't find it, because you took it out. I never said I have driven a Viper, but that doesn't stop me from common sense. Stop trying to prove everything I say wrong. You have done a lot extra of typing that wasn't even nessesary. I said nothing about when they break, I was talking about basic tune-ups. You talk about cars breaking, well any specially modified vehicle must be taken back to a place it was made from. I realize this, you don't have to say it over and over again, it wasn't what I was talking about.

All this started out with was me showing a magazine article and saying that this particular package was a not a rip off and it was a bad @$$ vehicle. I wasn't trying to say Hennessy was the best in the world. I wasn't trying to say they never break or don't steal. Then I have you trying to prove every single thing that I say wrong and even taking shots at me personally. I'm done, because my words have just gotten twisted every time I try to say something.

Matt again, I never said anything about when it breaks, and never said he didn't steal. I also never said they weren't hard to keep up. It sounds like you only read his replies to me and just figured what I said.

Midnight go back and look at my posts again and then look at the times they were edited, each one was edited only before you ever replied to them and then they were never changed again. I do it for spelling errors and try to catch as many that I can before anybody gets a chance to read it. Nothing has been removed from any of my posts, in fact the only one that I mentioned anything about "tune-up" in hasnt even been edited at all.

And the last time I checked calling me an "ignorant know-it-all @$$" is a shot at me, but I see that you went and edited it out of your #18 post today. I saw that you also removed a "WTF" from another reply(#11 to devil) you posted in this thread, so it is not me removing items from threads here, its you.

I didnt twist anything around that you have said, you've done a mighty fine job of it yourself.

Oh and one more thing since your stuck on the subject of a tune-up, what would that consist of in a Viper? Spark plugs, oil change and an airfilter... I would think you could do that yourself. Thats why I never made any mention of it in any of my posts, to trivial to worry about.

I am done with this thread, like I said before, this is going nowhere.

Im gonna have to go with midnight on this one...when u get up to 1000HP....parts are expected to break. for the money....this car is well worth the money. Lets face it, if you were to own this car, it wouldnt be an everyday driver, plain and simple, so sending it to Texas shouldnt be a problem if you're using it for racing purposes (which i would guess pretty much everyone would do). So plain and simple, this isn't average Joe's car.

then you would buy a competition coupe for $150,000 not a 1000 TT, your not going to use the same car for street and racetrack, you'd be spending too much time swapping gears, suspension, ties and the TT has no adjustable front or rear spoiler to control downforce.

If I had all the money in the world I would get me one of these(go to the link to see more):

http://www.koenigsegg.com

It has the world speed record and is one bad mobile... 388 kph or somewhere above 240 mph

Im not trying to start an arguement....but who said that this car was for the road in the first place? What does the comp coupe have that the 1000TT doesn't? Why not start with a cheaper Reg Viper? Cause the comp coupe won't touch the 1000TT stock.

Pretty sure that the 1000 TT is street legal, might have to have a state inspection guy in your pocket but it has everything you need still to run it on the street, the competition coupe isnt street legal by any means, it has all the proper safety cage and roll bars in in, is set up for a racing seat and harnesses and has body work that has been specially adapted for the racing circuit duty it was designed for. The competition coupe is a GTSR in the making...

Here is an idea of what is under the skin of one

and here is what it looks like with its skin on(that was the booth I worked at in the background with the yellow VCA club edition SRT)

by the way, I searched through my pics and I cant seen to find one of Hennesseys car that was at VOI but I did take a picture of TnT's project that is essentially the same concept with twin turbos and all... this should give you a better idea of how modified the engine compartment is compared to a stock one.

and I found 2 more pics I took of another comp coupe that was there, now you cant tell me that the 1000 TT is going to hold up to one of these on a real race track.

Thats funny, The pic u posted of the cockpit in the CC....i built the center console!! I made the switch panels for all the different elec stuff. I also built the elec. harnesses for those cars!

Anyways, i guess i was missunderstanding. I figured since Hennessey made the 1000TT an 8sec 1/4 mile car.....i figured they also put in the role bars (required) and race seat/harness, etc. If they don't, then that is dumb and rediculous. Why would they make you a car you can't drive whithout adding more mods after them? I guess then you might be better off starting withy the Comp Coupe like you said. Although we also have to rememebr that the comp coupe is very Limited edition. Only 100 (i think) were scheduled to be built.
