I am looking at upgrading my dodge ram 1500 4.7 2003 truck. I have put the superchips flashpaq in it and now I am looking at putting in some high performance cams and some headers. I aint looking for like the pink style trucks. I would like a truck that is really powerful but still able to drive on a daily basis. Just looking for some advice thanks

Default Need Help with 2003 5.7 1500 4x4

I've lost some power and fuel economy. I have no check engine light lit. Not smoking or consuming of oil or coolant. I have the factory K&N and have replaced the filter. Muffler was a little blown so I had that replaced along with a performance cat. I have 90,000 miles on it. Starts up and runs fine. Seems to just make noise and not get moving like it used to. Hesitates a bit. I used to get 11 miles per gallon in city (lots of hills and stop lights + 20" rims) now im only getting 7.6 mpg. What to do next? Mechanic is scratching his head too as there are no trouble codes.
