Hey guys, I got permits for cutting wood back in the National Forest close to my home and went back and forth with about a cord of green pine wood and made the trip back and forth until I got my 4 cords. I was trying to load up fast because a storm was coming. We were back about 4 miles from any kind of maintained road when the storm started. The forest road quickly got extremely slick and had a full load on. Just let the Ram idle all the way out to the main road, but it was slippin and sliding all the way. What a experience. By the way, after hauling all the wood, I went over and filled up with gas, and checked my fuel mileage. I got 12.4 doing all this heavy hauling and four wheeling. What a truck.

I'm thinking about joining. I'm looking at a 2000 4x4 2500 LWB with 164,000. I've had alot of dodges, and currently have a nitro(wifes car), wondering about the V10. Heard they have alot of problems, but can't really find anything good or bad on the internet. I know they have alot of torque. It's a clean looking truck with leather for about $7000. I'm looking up the KBB on it now. Any thoughts? Thanks

There isn't issues with the V-10 that I'm aware of????? I would ensure that it has the 4.10 gearing if you are looking to pull a lot.
As for the fastman question, the V-10 LOVES air and therefore should love it. Even just throwing in a drop in K&N filter made a huge difference. I've heard that the fasman tb makes a huge difference but I haven't tried it yet. Right now I am getting some price quotes to re-gear to 4.10's or I would have bought it hands down, in fact I will if I have any cash left over. But anyway, yes you should get one. I had one on my old Durngo (5.9L) 52mm and loved it.

Hey Guys, I guess I could add another V-10 to the group. I got a '95 2500 4x4, auto, 3.55 gears, K&N cold air intake,(sounds like a vacum cleaner suckin in all that air, lol), 2" levelling kit, super spring helper springs on the rear, LT285/75R16 ProComp tires on 16x8 Pacer wheels, OEM duals with dual Thrush 21" glasspacs w/90 deg tips @ the mufflers. It's my daily driver, get about 10.5 mpg, got 238,000 miles on it. What A Truck!!! I made 2"x8" sawmill cut oak wheel to wheel running boards for it, couldn't find anybody that had RB for it so I made my own. Am going to make new bumpers, Front & Rear bumpers out of 2"x16" sawmill cut oak boards, $73. for the 2 brds, looked at aftermarket bumpers, cost way too much $$, gonna make my own!! I would like to some day do headers n true dual exhaust, need to remove the gas tank n put a custom tank where the spare tire is so I can do the exhaust up thru the bed, dual 6" stacks....lol.... Ya'll have a good day....
