2002 Dodge Ram Install Speaker
I am new to the vehicle world and am in need of a couple of pointers...
I own a 2002 Dodge Ram 1500 Quad Cab With The Premium Infinity Stock System
1)Recently my front passenger speaker has busted [:@] and I need to replace it.
a)How do I get to the speaker? (Take off the door panel?)
b)What replacement should I buy? (Best & Cheapest)
c)Should I just go to a dealership? (Is it too much trouble?)
(I am verry involved with electronics so I can probably do it with some instructions!?!?!?)
2)I would like to hook an iPod interface in my truck, I know how to get to the back of the stereo, but I don't know what type of interface I need. I want to be able to control the iPod with the seering wheel controls.
Any help on either subjects would be greatly appreciated!!!

RE: 2002 Dodge Ram Install Speaker
Best bet may be to talk to a tech adviser at Crutchfield. If there is an Ipod adapter that will interface the factory stereo, they probably know about it.

I work at a Jeep dealership, and recently the parts manager said there was a new Mopar accessory Ipod interface. You may want to call your local dealer and find out if it's available for your truck. I have no idea if it would allow you to control the Ipod with the factory stereo, or if it just allows you to play it through the system.
