Default 2004 1500 hemi Cruise <65MPH?

OK I love everything about my truck except this Cruise control thing. At 65mph the cruise cuts off. If you are over 65mph you cant turn on the cruise. This seems to be a factory added problem and I need to know how to get around this. The speed limit on the interstate is 70mph here and I would at least like to use cruise then. Taking trips of over an hour are getting pretty uncomfortable when I cant move my leg off the accelerator everynow and then.

Change legs. Seriously it should work over 65. [sm=patriot.gif]

Hmm well I guess that this is just broke then. Funny that it works great at any speed below 65mph. Guess I gotta go buy a manual and figure out how this system works on this thing. [:@]

I've not had a single problem with the cruise at any speed. What did the dealership service dept. tell you?

Well since im 120 miles from 36k the dealer I bought it from said hurry in and get it fixed before the warrenty ran out. So tommorrow im off the Jacksonville Chrysler Jeep Dodge to get it looked at.

Thanks for confirming that this is not something that is normal, as I did not really know. The way it acts it seems like it was made to work that way it just sucks. Truthfully I have never had a vehicle with cruise and I have been driving since 1992. Hopefully this will be fixed tommorrow and working correctly!

Well, the cruise should work even if you set it at 100 MPH.

Let's hope it's something they can find easily. It seems to me I've read one other person having a similar problem, but I can't recall it being recent. Good luck.
