1999 ram 1500 rough idle
mine was doing the same thing....check the cat or O2 sensors.....though it shouldnt be either unless you have a lot of mile...though your Cat will still be covered under warrenty.
other things would be your Map sensor...or your IAC motor
I would check the IAC motor first though (easier)
pull the IAC motor (located on the back of the TB, held in by 2 #9, I think, torque screws) out of the TB but leave the socket (wires) connected. Have some one turn the key on (but dont start the engine) look to see if the pin moves or not. If it does not move turn the key off and take the IAC out and clean it with carb cleaner....dont push the plunger in your self though, its spring loaded and can be thrown outa wack. Do this on a 'cold' engine to get the full effect. It may be sticking and as the motor warms the plunger may expand thus making it work properly.
The IAC is what controls the idel under different loads (when its cold or hot, or if the A/C is running). The MAP (Manafold Absolute Pressure) is on the front of the TB this also controls Ideling.
