Engine Turning Over too fast?

Engine Turning Over too fast?
Since I got my stratus, the car has always run normally, but the engine starts very very fast when i turn the ignition key. Probably takes a second, maybe even less. I havent timed it, but it seems a little fast to me. Ive heard this could mean lack of compression in the cylinders or a timing belt problem. I dont know if this is normal for a V-6 2.5 Mitsu. I dont hear any unusual noises (like banging or whistling). The timing belt is covered by a plastic cover, so I cant really visually inspect it. Any input would be appreciated.

RE: Engine Turning Over too fast?
coil packs i guess, there is no distributor on this car. The car seems to be turning over in a more regular manner now, its just sometimes it does it really fast. The car also shakes with the force of the engine turning on after being cold. Like, as it turns over you can feel the car shudder for that second, I suspect this is normal as the car has no strong vibrations once the RPMs settle back down.
I always wait for the fuel pump to pressurize and leave the ignition on a few seconds before getting the engine started. Doesnt seem like the startup has any affects on the way the engine runs afterwords. thanks
