Default Hydro-Graphics Interior

Here's some pix of my 03 Dakota R/T's Interior, I had it processed with brushed aluminum hydro-graphics.

How do you like it on the sterring wheel? Is it hard to get a grip on since it's smooth?

Looks pretty good.

Actually it grips quite well - when they chop out the leather portion they replace it with wood inserts that have finger grips, and the sides are re-wrapped with premium leather. I just got back from the 2004 Dakota R/T Club National Meet where I did 3 autocross runs, the truck performed great and I never slipped on the wheel.

Is that real metal/aluminum or is it plastic-metal?

Neither - those are not merely dash kit pieces.

You send them your original parts (or buy some spares off E-Bay/junkyard/etc.) - they will sand them, paint them a base color, then apply the hydro-graphics pattern (ie: brushed aluminum, carbon fiber, granite, wood, etc.) in a dunk tank, and then clear coat the part for durability. What's great about this stuff is that the pattern flows around curves and breaks in the surface, it looks like it came that way from the factory.
