fiberglass interior?
I was thinking about ripping out the entire interior of my 01 ram 1500, and doing the ceiling, door panels, dash, and pretty much any open spaces with fiberglass enclosures that could hold an array of neons, amps, subs, and speakers. But i heard somewhere that fiberglass was mainly for show vehicles...cus fiberglass couldnt handle the dialy stress of driving. is that true? Cus i dont want to spend days making my truck perfect, and then have it gradually crack and fall apart. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

RE: fiberglass interior?
done properly with correct thicknesses and care it'll last ... lower door panels ect will take a beating from feet getting in and out
this was done 3+ years ago and driven 5000 miles a year ... http://www.fokispg.com/Carls%20Page/...duct/Page.html

RE: fiberglass interior?
We used the cheap Home Depot/Lowes Fiberglass Resin .... If moneys not important the true automotive stuff sands a bit better (there was 18 gallons used there )
Most of the panels were roughed up with 80 grit then had Fleece stretched over it and around 1/8 inch thick layer of resin was applied and sanded down ...
We used foam then wrapped it in tinfoil and used mold release for the curves ect ...
