Default Can a 2.2 be rebuilt?

Got a '84 Dodge Rampage, in pretty good shape except the engine is low on compression 120-120-110-115 and oil pump is worn out or bad bearings, the oil pressure is just up 25% of the dial.

Can you still buy new rings/pistons/valves/bearings /gasket kit for this old of a engine?

If not is there another engine and 5 speed tranny I could drop into the motor compartment to fit to the front drive axle?

The 2.2l was very common, parts should be readily available.

Default Thanks, just want

to be sure all the parts are available before I take this engine out and have a mechanic put new rings and head job on it. Someone offered me a used 2.2 with around 100K on it for $850 but thought that is too much for an engine with that many miles on it already.
