Default RE: 2010 Dodge Charger SRT8

Brembo padsaren't expensive to replace. In fact they're a lot less if you buy the pads anddo it yourself. Even if you take the pads to your dealer to change for you, I did. They charged 1 hour labor -$90.00, add the cost of the pads - $167 plus shipping. That's cheaper than the OEM pads from the dealer alone.

No lifetime powertrain warranty on SRT8 is the only drawback.

I leanig towards trading in my RT for an SRT8 in 2010. I just want to know that the awesome SRT8 will be available in 2010. If I am going to trade in my RT....I will drive it on the salt infested MN winter roads. If I am going to keep my RT.....I will continue to drive my Dakota duing the winter.

Pleae help me see into the future
Thanks in advance
2010 Charger SRT8 is similar to 2009 model, very few new features/changes. All-new 2011 Charger "LD" series coming fall of 2010.

I bought a dealer demo, (lucky to find), 2006 Mag SRT in Oct 07 with 1700 miles. Currently it only has less than 5500 miles! I live on a dirt road and refuse to drive it in inclement weather, never been driven in the rain and only driven once at nice... Might be silly to some, but I want to keep mine forever!

Default good news...

I just pre-ordered a Charger R/T but I could have gotten the SRT-8, I was just going for better gas mileage.. But I'm guessing that since I had the option, that they will be available

better gas mileage? what are these things rated at. how heavy are they. i know they are quite a bit heavier than my camaro(3500 empty) but i would still expect close to 20 mpg and the regular for the 5.7. thats taking away from my 23 1/2 city 1/2 highway in my auto. but does the weight account for 3mpg in real time driving situations. i guess i just dont see any reason to take into gas mileage with strong cars. i certainly never thought of it when i bought the truck or the chevy. now the neon it was bought solely for dd duties for the girl. she doesnt need anything rediculous so she got the eco car.

Default gas mileage

The R/T gets 16 city/25 hwy and the SRT8 gets 13 city/19 hwy. Then you have to put premium gas in the SRT8. I'm thinking about upgrading, but I'll have to wait and see what kind of deals I can get when I go to put the order in.. I have to wait until next year when it's closer to when I move. It's complicated, but I can't have the car here so I'm ordering it to have it when I move.. Right now I paid a downpayment to hold it. And btw. I'm a girl and I need plenty of power and speed!

i assumed the 5.7 needed premium also. but then again thats why im asking the questions. i dont follow mopar cars at all. i just dont dig the weight issue. i know my camaro is 3500lbs without me and the new camaro is 3800lbs empty. i think i saw the other day the charger/challenger is around 4100lbs empty. ouch. thats gotta be a big time killer in the speed department, for racing that is. i enjoy playing with my toys. i couldnt have either the ram or the camaro and just strictly cruise them.
