i know a lot of race teams use royal purple so it cant be bad im pretty sure its a lil more expensive but probly worth it. i have no idea in these cars ive never used it i run mobil 1 but ive never really looked into changing.

nice looking ride btw ive been meaning to say that i just havent gotten around to it

Thanks for the compliment, I just wish she had power right now lol. But i was on srt forums and i saw a thread about mobil 1 not doing well in testing so i was thinking about switching to something else like royal purple or maybe amsoil. Claim about mobil 1 was made by valvoline so i wonder if they are just trying to hurt mobil 1 sales, but valvoline claimed that their synthetic has 4x better wear protection than mobil 1 synthetic so maybe ill try that next time.

I will let you know if i even notice a difference, but btw your car looks sick i love the sunburst orange on these cars as well as the blue. I wish i would have gotten one of those colors instead of black(really hard to keep clean and super hot in Florida summer lol)

went to autozone today to get the valvoline and then i saw they had castrols new synthetic called edge and it was only a dollar more a quart than valvoline so i got 5 quarts of castrol edge 10w-30. Its a brand new oil from castrol, so new they only make it in 5w-30 and 10w-30. Gonna give it a try and ill put on a review on how it is, castrol claims that the new edge oil has 8x better wear protection than mobil 1 lol

I changed the oil with Castrol Edge synthetic last Thursday, and I have already put 500 highway miles on it because I drove to Gainsville to see my girlfriend. It is a really good oil and I actually like it better so far than the Mobil 1 which I've always put in it. I noticed the engine seemed much happier while cruising at high speeds and rpms (around 100mph) and when I arrived after 250 miles were on the oil I opened my hood in a parking garage to listen to the motor and cylinder head noise was a lot quieter than before. I will continue to change my oil with this new Castrol, I love it so far.
