Default cai question

so im new to the srt world. iv had mine for about 3 weeks now. the guy i bought it from installed a cai and had the battery sitting right below the area it should be. it was resting on a a major hose. i went & bought one of those bendable like intake hoses so i could set the battery back in its place & wrap the intake around it. question is, will that intake hose do just as good of a job? thanks for any feedback!

if it is the ribbed kind of intake hose then yea it will change the amount if airflow by some but how much i dont know exactly. what kind of cai did he install and why did he have to move the battery? if it was any kind of name brand he probly put it on wrong and you could still reuse it i dunno just a thought. some pictures would be helpful of you can.

ill try to get a pic up soon. the way this cai is, it required you to have one of those midget size batteries. almost like those battery powered 4wheelers.haha. anyways that battery died on him so he got a regular size & ended up setting on top of a hose. iv managed to fix the problem. as long as the ribbed hose does the job im good...until i get a new cai. thanks.
