Hey Red,

The job has it's perks ;-) testing DC cars out in the desert can be fun - - when they have cool cars. Sadly, this year the 6.1L SRT 300C was pulled from the trip!!! But we did just test one in our cold dyno room!!! Nothing is more satisfying than stabbing the throttle and burning out on the dyno rollers! ha-ha...

I am sure the Caliber will be far better when it's released!!! let's hope so!!!

actually, somewhere on SRTFORUMS there was pictures and a video of the car we had out in AZ / NV / CA... thankfully, I was not driving it at the time, so I'm not in the video... ha-ha...

Damn nice 265 tires though! I wish ours had at least 225 from stock.

Hey SRT_YA, I live in Mich, I'm a mechanic and I might be looking for work if the layoffs continue, I live in the 'Zoo, you got any pull with the brass?
I wouldn't mind being a wrench for you guys!
If I got a job there, I got an SRT-4, we could hang. Plus, I'm really cool!

(a little shameless self promotion never hurt anyone)

BTW, nice scoop RED!

I have been trying to figure out what it looks like myself. I'm not sure what to compare it to. You may be on the right track with the omni. It is a hatchback.

I don't find it quite as bad looking as you guys. For me, power for the dollar is top priority. 340 horsepower looks very attractive, if it is priced reasonably.

Pressure...

actually.... we are looking at hiring another test technician and test engineer... I'm assuming with the mechanics back ground you would fit well for the technician job (since all our techy's have been mechanics in their life time)...

however, the jobster is over in Wixom / Novi... so it's a far jump from the Zoo... meaning, are you willing to relocate? I don't have a lot of pull with the brass - - but I'd be more than happy to drop the resume in or give you some more details if it's something you'd like to continue... PM me, we can chat more.

It looks like a downsized Dodge Durango and Toyota Matrix had the ugliest child imaginable.
