Default 3.8L S/Charger on a 5.9L?

Hey all, I can get a "pontiac" 3.8L supercharger pretty cheap. I have seen this questioned in other forums a couple years ago, but never a clear conclusion. I know these put out about 8-12 lbs of boost depending on the pulley, so I'm figuring it should do at least 5-6 lbs on a bigger motor.

Can it be done? What do you suppose would need to be done to complete the job. I could fabricate an aluminum or metal mounting plate and I would be more than happy to cut a hole in the hood - was looking at a cowl induction scoop anyway.

May seem crazy, but I am bored and the idea just popped in the ol noggen.

Thanks alot,
