95 Buick Roadmaster - Daily Driver, 13.52 at 99 MPH.

This one has the donor motor for the first Roadmaster. The body has seen better days. The floor is starting to rust out pretty bad. Bought it for $1,000 for parts. Then tossed a 3400 converter in it, rebuilt trans from my parts 95 Caprice, and rebuilt the rear with 4.10's. I have maybe $3,000 into the car. It is worth alot more in parts. Which where it is headed. Thing is a riot. It's easily a high 12's car. I wish I would have ran it at the track... I just might in the springtime, just to see what it can do. It would give me some closure on it before I scrapped it.

This is the 94 Caprice that the motor in Jesus came from. $500, 90,000 GM engine/trans. It ran 14.86 at the track, pretty much all stock, on a set of drag radials, with a busted posi. It was hot that day. I was burning up in those pants. This thing is the poster car for a rust belt car... That 1/4 panle had already been fixed once.

how many of those big GM sedans have you had? are they all on the same platform?
if the projectors light up the road better, good for you...they arent terrible to look at..its just not something that you expect to see in a roadmaster. as for the side chrome, i think that it gives the car a very "impala ss" look without trying...
you certainly have an interesting taste in performance cars. which is the quickest youve had? the one at the top? what does that car weigh?

Here are a few of the others I have & had. I wish I would have not gotten rid of the silver one. But when somebody offers you 3,300 for a car you paid 1,300 for... it's hard to turn down. I still have the Red one. It is a rust bucket, but it served me well for a year or so. I can't believe I thought I could save it. Worked pretty good the 2 winters I drove it.
I also have another 94 Caprice. I wish I had a reason to keep it. Can't pass up a smokin' deal on a good looking car.
Here is the first 94 Fleetwood I had. I was building a sleeper, then I pulled a stupid move. I stripped it to the core, & dropped a scrap Olds 307 in it.
Also, still have the 2nd 94 Fleetwood still.
I have a Parts 95 Roadmaster too...
And can't forget about the 95 Caprice I bought to part out. Drove it home 150 miles. Had it up to 135mph+ on the drive home. It was a sexy car before the previous owner smacked a tree. After having it a few years, it went to the scrap yard.
I had this 96 Caprice for awhile. I ended up trading it to my Ex GF for her Jeep Cherokee. I will get it back in a few years when she gets sick of it. Thing got 22mpg doing well over 80mph on the trip home. Bought it for $800.
I think that's about it...

I do have weird taste in performance cars. I was always a little different in school. Most guys liked ricers, or euro sedans. I just wanted a bigger motor in my Caddy. The first Roadmaster has been mistaken for an Impala SS more than once. That's one thing I don't like. I don't like that it could be mistaken for an SS. I really would like it to blend in a little better. But I think if I leave Jesus to look the say it is, it will keep me from screwing with the First Roadmasters look. On the Impalaforum, I fight with the SS guys all the time, that their cars are overated, and overpriced. When you can get the same car without the appearance package, for much less. They don't like that. With that bright Red Roadmaster, I was tempted to put a police pushbar, spotlights, and antennas on it. I'm odd, I know it.
The first Roadmaster is the quickest, that has been documented. But that 96 Caprice 9C1(the white one), has vertually the same mods, except a bigger cam shaft, a higher stall converter, and lower rear gear. So no doubt it is faster. It pulls alot harder at the top end, and launches violently, on the stock lower control arms. A friend of mine drove it, and laid rubber leaving his driveway, not even trying. He tried to give it some gas turning at a stop sign, and just about took out some mailboxes. My dad took it one day, and came back with a permagrin.
That quote in my sig makes a little more sense now?
