95 Buick Roadmaster - Daily Driver, 13.52 at 99 MPH.
This is my 95 Buick Roadmaster. I just picked it up in the summer of 2009, but I had been eying it for many years. The owner was a local guy, who got me hooked on 94-96 Buick Roadmasters. Before the Roadmasters, I had a 94 Cadillac Fleetwood, which was basically the same car.
Chevy 350, LT1. 260hp stock. 4L60E transmission(electronic 700r4). 8.5" ring gear, GM 10 bolt. 2.56 gears, stock. It has been slightly modded from there. The previous owner had invested more than $25,000 into this car. Not including a botched trans rebuild, and what he paid for it. I bought it for ALOT less than that. He took care of every little thing... and not to mention the money he spent on engine chrome, and powder coating.
Engine: 180,000 miles.
RAISS - Ram Air cold are intake
F-body MAF sensor
52mm TB
Stock cam, Stock Iron heads.
Performance valvesprings
1.6 ratio full roller rockers
PCMforLess Tune
Clear Image Tri-Y headers
Pypes X pipe with Spintech Prostreet mufflers
Trans & Rear:
Team Tripp rebuilt 4L60E
Edge Racingconverters 3000 Stall converter with lock up
Custom 4" American Axle & Machine driveshaft
3.73 gears, Eaton Positraction, Yukon axle shafts
Suspension & wheels:
Impala SS springs
Impala SS sway bars
BMR lower rear control arms
lower arm relocation brakets(launches alot harder)
Monroe Caprice Police car shocks
Impala SS 17" rims
285/40/17 Kuhmo SPT's out back, 255/45/17 front
It has run a best of 13.52 at 99mph, in the 1/4 mile. This was before the tune was redone by the last owner, with a wide band O2 sensor.
Cosmetic:
Exterior is the stock color of Dark Cherry Metallic
Grill was painted
side chrome was removed(looks like crap... to me)
Hook ornament hole shaved
Custom Hella 90mm Projector headlights, with 5000k HID's.
3-pod pillar, and "Rally Pack" gauges
Racing seats, that GOTTA GO.

This is my other 95 Buick Roadmaster. "Jesus". I bought it in the Summer of 2008. My plans were to follow his engine/trans mods, and have fun with it. I'm still headed that direction with it, but have decided to keep it as a weekend car, and make the setup a little bit more aggressive. One nice thing, is there isn't a single spot of rust on it... other than the battery eating through the inner fender. I'm already most there, on matching the engine/trans/rear setup. I had been stocking parts, barrowed parts off my other 95 Roadmaster not shown, and my 94-96 Chevy Caprices.
I screwed up, and didn't catch that the intake manifold was loose from when I bought it. Took it to the track, and spun a rod bearing. Next day, it shot 4 rods across the road on my way to have a friend look at it. 85,000 miles on it... that's unheard of for an LT1. I had noticed it just felt slow. Well an intake manifold leak that big, will surely do it, and also detonate like hell.

hit the gas at 45 mph and you can suqeal the rubber on a road master, I used to work for a rental car outfit, the Road master was my car of choice, the impella, Roadmaster and Cadilac fleet wood are the same car underneath, even the station wagon impella could be orderd up with the 5.7
Highway crusing, Gm had it right with thier last gen RWD cars

I plan on keeping Jesus as a sleeper. I'm thinking of tossing the stock rims back to add to the sleeper look.
All of the 94-96's came stock with the LT1 350. Except, the Caprice Sedan. Even the Police version came standard with the 4.3, "L99". Luckily, alot of them came with the LT1. The civilian versions got the 350 via the towing package. Which also gave it the stiffer springs, and bigger sway bars. I joined the LT1 game, with my 94 Cadillac Fleetwood. I started setting that one up for a sleeper. But I put it into a tree at 70mph, when I didn't see a turn on a back road. The headlights are Awful on these cars. I stepped out of the car, and didn't even have a scratch. My GF got a black eye from my hand hitting her. It made it around the turn, But the rearend slid around, and I shot into the woods.
Crunch... I really miss that car. It ran 14.97 at the dragstrip, with a homemade CAI, new catback, and performance valvesprings. I ended up with a near identical 94 Fleetwood about a year later. But I had to stop driving it, because it reminded me of my own stupidity.

so is Jesus built yet, or no?
that first one that ran 13s is sweet..the only thing that i dont like is the projection headlight setup...i dont think that it looks "right" on that car but the performance is damn impressive.
I used to race quite a bit in ohio and there was a guy with a grey roadmaster that was running 13.50s or so...also a complete sleeper.

Jesus is not built yet. I started to build it, and then shot 4 rods out the side of the block. It didn't seem to like detonation from going lean. I will remember to always check the intake manifold gasket. I finished the engine swap on it last fall, just to get it going. I'm working on figuring out the bugs in it right now, so I don't turn that motor into scrap. Plus, winter is on us, and I have other projects to take care of right now. Some of the parts I need for it, are on the other 95 Roadmasters motor, and still on my 96 Caprice. The last few months have mostly been shifting parts around, since my dad just bought a large warehouse.
I agree the Euro headlights don't look quite right. But, I can live with that. The stock lights on these cars SUCK.... REALLY BAD. The pattern from those Hella 90mm projectors is amazing. I have had some rather impressive offers on them, since they are the only set out there, and were made by the guy who makes the same setup for the Caprice/Impala SS. What irritates me most about the car, is the lack of the side chrome. It just doesn't look right. I hope to get the side chrome on it this summer.
Probably going to put the header, and 3" exhaust setup on Jesus, then focus on the engine swap on the Shiny one. It is going to take me awhile, to make sure I don't scratch anything, or break one of the mods the previous owner did. I find new wires everytime I get under it.
