Yeah yeah I know, y'all are a little sensitive to the neon thing. But I'm sorry there are far to many common parts, like everything except power train and suspension to be called a separate vehicle. It should be called what it is, an option package. Now I still would not mind having one so please don't think I'm putting them down.

It doesn't bother me anymore... I let everyone else argue if it's a "Neon", an "SRT", or whatever... I keep driving it and like it... and while everyone else is making fun of it, I just blow by them and laugh that a "4-door Neon" spanked them

just for the clarification though, didn't they take a Le Mans, change the powertrain - and call it a GTO (arguably the "first" muscle car)???

Old is definitely better.... for either one! I would take a '64-67 GTO or a '69-70 'stang over most of the new stuff offered by ANYBODY today.
