From what I have read on the web and in mags is that the car pictured is a development mule for a 100k+ supercar. They reportedly are using a V10 with technology gleened from their formula 1 experience. I have not seen any indication that this (pictured car) is AWD, but midship engined (like the RX8) engine and RWD. The spoiler is just for high speed testing purposes and will be changed before (if) it gets built for the public. Just what I have read, I don't have any insider friends with Toyota, so I am just speculating like everyone else.
having owned an '88 Supra, knowing the motor likes to blow head gaskets, I'm not suprised sales sucked here in the US. Even the last model year had the same problem and toyota did nothing about it (recall). They did issue a TSB that changed the head torque spec up 10 ft lbs but that was a bandaid.
