I'm glad they bought it....Chinese are obviously doing something right, they aren't filing bankruptcy and they buy our car brands! They dominate the domestic car market. Quality control is 2nd to none.... besides they are keeping 1000's of employees still working here at least until 2010 and the brand will still be around just with a better name in the MPG department.....FORD is the only domestic auto maker holding it's own, probably because they make realistic cars and they don't alternate 500 different pieces between building cars! This is good new and not bad news..bad news would be no buyer 1000's lose their job, factories close, hummer name is gone!

The government probably told GM they had to let the Chinese have Hummer in return for the bailout funds. Uh oh, what will they do to Chrysler, send over the RAM?

Guess if you want an American made Hummer, you have to build it yourself.

Real Hummers can only be bought by the military and the rich. The rest are Chevy's with fancy clothes. You suppose the Chi-Coms will be making our military vehicles? That's ironic. I hope GM bites the dust. I was wanting them to survive, like Chrysler, until they got the bright idea to try to buy Chrysler, shut it down and sell it off for profit. Now, I hope they go out of business. I won't buy another GM product, new or used. They can burn in h@ll.

I'm not buying another Chrysler or GM, I'm going with Ford, they didn't take the bail out money, so their doing something right.

The concern I have is what they will be getting from this. If they will be getting the blueprints for building the HUM-VEE has the H1 was pretty much a HUM-VEE, this concerns me greatly. Not a good thing; however, on the other hand, they tend to be the master rip-off artists and I'm sure if they wanted to they could have just purchased a H1 and reverse engineered it, so who knows. My point is it might be better off is Hummer was laid to rest depending on how it will be used by them.

The HUMVEE was retained by AM Gen. when the brand was sold to GM. And unless the sale included older model lines, the chinese won't be getting H1 either. My guess is they got rights to the current line.
