CNN failed. They assume just because a line was dropped, that it failed. Saturn was quite successful, and they never managed to produce enough EV1's to meet consumer demand, which kinda screams success.

Problem is, they NEVER made one cent for GM. Something is wrong when car companies have raised car prices at twice the inflation rate and still can't make money. If my pay over the last 20 years was raised at twice the inflation rate, I'd be fairly wealthy.

Just the word Saturn was a fail to me. I never ever liked any of the models I drove. Too cheap for my tastes.

Really? We have 2 Saturns in the family. A '92 and a '94. One has 205k on the clock and the other has 180k on it. They haven't needed much but routine maintenance.

You gotta understand one thing. There is only one type of car I feel comfortable in. That would be a drag car with one seat, and on a closed drag strip with one other person on the track. Other than that I prefer to be in a big truck that sits up away from the mess.

Being in a very bad car wreck in a little matchbox car didn't help my feelings about little cars.

Roger Penske wants to buy the Saturn brand and farm the production of them overseas to keep his dealer network open.
