Ford 6.2L power numbers are out

Ford is boasting the most powerful 1/2 ton pickup numbers for 2011. The 6.2L in the Raptor and F150 is going to have 411hp , 434ft.-lb. Outpowering our beloved Hemi by 21hp and 27lb/ft. Combined with their superior 6 speed auto, it should give the Ram a run for it's money!
Time to upgrade the Ram tranny to be competitive with everyone else!

who cares about the power difference. Those are good HP figures but I would still buy the ram power wagon over the raptor or even buy the stock ram over it. If I wanted a race truck i'd buy an SRT. In this market is that even going to attract any buyers with gas creeping back into the $3.00 range?

Also has anyone else noticed the price of ethanol going way up? What is driving that? It used to always be 1.99/gal now its like 2.15

The regular F150 is getting the same engine so it will probably give the over torque managed Hemi a run for it's money. I still think the Dodge is a much better looking truck and would buy one again if I had to.
Ford trucks have been at the bottom of the barrel as far as power goes and they are finally stepping it up. I don't want to see out beloved Rams left behind.

The SRT trucks haven't been made since 2006. The 09 R/T is the fastest that they offer at this time.
It's time to upgrade to the 6.1L and a real transmission in the Ram and all will be good!!
