Well my sister just called me from work and said they had a customer that had locked herself out of her car (91 honda prelude.) They said a coat hanger isn't working. I suggested to call the sheriffs or the lima police department because usually they will do it, but she said they already did that and they were told they wouldn't do it (lazy bastards.) Then I suggested calling a towing company or a locksmith, but of course the woman has no money. So short of me going out there and playing with it, I cannot think of anything else. I talked to the woman and she seemed real upset and when I asked her if there was anyone that could come and get her or open the door for her, she said no. Then she said she was going to go out and break her window but I calmly talked her out of that. Help!

LOL are you sure the car isn't stolen? ... if you dont have a slim jim I dont know what to tell you! My girlfriend locked her keys in her car once and she called AAA. A tow truck came and they pried the door open with two plastic brackets and then just flipped the lock up. Not sure I would do that, but oh well!

Hondas are extremely easy. Scissors or a screwdriver in the door lock, hit it hard, it's only held in place by a little clip, then you can manipulate the rods and open the door. Really easy and cheap to fix also.

You know, I was thinking. Maybe, since it was the woman that said she called the cops already, that she might not have. Possibly she didnt want the cops out their because it isnt insured, or it isnt her car[&:]
I locked my keys in my car a few days ago, damn cops wouldn't help me, neither would the fire depatment because I didn't have a kid in the car! But I was in the middle of a blizzard! I was so mad...I have spare keys now..lol them things are so expensive! I hate encoded keys!
We would make the person sign a release before we would attempt to open a car with electric locks. If it was a busy night, we would give it about 10 minutes time then tell them to call AAA. Can't waste a lot of time on dumb people who lock their keys in the car, when we can be out there catching robbers, rapists, and murderers.
