I got this tattoo 2 months ago in memory of my Uncle who passed in 1991. I was almost 3 years old when he was killed. He owned a 1984 Mercury Cougar that he babied, and he came out of his dorm room and someone was writing on it, they took off in a car, he chased them on foot, and they turned around and sped at him, he jumped on the hood to avoid getting hit, they sped up, he was thrown over the car and hit his head. He passed away in the hospital.
After almost 14 years in storage I was given the car on my 16th birthday. Even after that long it still looked show room new. It still is, and Ive replaced the whole fuel system and Daily Drove it for a few years, now its my resto/mod project in memory of him.
My Uncle was hit head-on with the Cougar in 1990 and the whole car was repainted with the addition of Metallic Clear Coat which was a factory option on the car. This is me at 2 years old standing next to the car after it was hit....The Cougar is my pride and Joy.

its gonna get shaded when i find the time and money to get my whole back piece done, (in 1 sitting)
my back piece is gonna match my forearm sleeves when i get them done, and the only color im getting is black, fades the least, cheapest to get re-done, and is easiest to get removed.

That one is sweet Batman.
I want to get one, but won't until I know that I won't get any taller so that it doesn't stretch and distort.
I'm also like you Batman, I won't get someone's name, unless if it's my own. No portraits of anyone, and it will only be on my back.
One on the arm and forearm is easier to see, and not so great when you go to get a job. Sometimes look bad, and people are quick to jump to a conclusion of who you are when they see them. Which is rather stupid.
Im the same way. It took me 2 years to decide where to get mine. But I knew what I wanted. I want more, but I only want something that has a meaning and isnt there just to be there. The only names I would put on me are my kids' names, and that is because they are my flesh and blood. Im confident in getting another Cougar one, but this time the Emblem or maybe the a realistic "walking cat" like the older emblems fromt the 70s. I just dont know where or how dedicated I am to getting it just yet. I love that car though.
