not for 2008 (SRT-8 only)... in 2009 the R/T and the SRT-8 both have manual options.
Try again.
The 2008 models did not offer any manual transmission at all. The only option for the 09's are a 4spd auto or a 5spd autostick, which is NOT a manual transmission.
Autosticks are glorified automatic transmissions that will allow you to "shift" but will still operate as an automatic transmission.
Hell, I have tapshift in my GTP, and its still an automatic transmission.
Anyone who's ever had an autostick will tell you it is NOT a manual transmission.
And since I apparently don't know what the hell I'm talking about....
If you end up with the Marauder, take a look at the front of the intake manifold. The 4.6's had problems with the thermostat housing cracking from the rest of the intake. I *think* by 2003, they revised it to an intake that uses an aluminum thermostat housing and coolant runners. I've personally replaced three of these intakes, and the rest of them I see are either cracked and leaking or JB welded to hell.
I work on these cars just about everyday (South Florida ghetto), and IMHO I would never buy one.
4.6 and the 5.4 have plastic intake mainfolds, I know abought the teromostat housing cracking from my ford days, as it turns out, ford dealer turned down my offer.

Um, he said IN 2009, not THE 2009. FOR 2009, the 2010 model year... The Charger is getting some major changes, INCLUDING a manual transmission.

I will not link to a competing site...
I'll believe it when I see it.... as far as the manual trans for the Charger....if anything I expect it would be the SRT-8 only...
As for the rest, he could have very easily said for the new 2010 model, they'll be adding a manual option. Instead, he said 2009....which it's not available yet...
And, I seriously doubt even if Dodge releases a manual Charger, that you'll see it available in 2009..
