Considering that both cars were really close---its probably a drivers race! But I hate to say it out of the factory the corvette will always be the better handling car in relation to suspension and the like.
The slalom on any Viper is better than a Z06 PERIOD
Yes, the handling depends on the driver. Handling of a car is an opinion. The way u judge handling are by track times and slalom. Like I said, the slalom isn't discussible.
Stock Viper vs Stock Corvette: The old Vipers were harder to drive than the new Vipers. Vipers have more power which can be harder to control (u don't want to get tail happy when cornering). Since u have more power, u need a better driver to control it.
The new Viper's (SRT-10's) will kill a Corvette around a track ALL DAY if u have 2 good drivers. I've seen several articles where the Viper SRT-10 placed better on a track.
Just to make sure I'm clear. I'm never talking about a track that is a drag strip. We all know Vipers are faster in acceleration w/ 2 equal drivers.
The old Viper's handling vs a Z06 is discussible. Some times u will see an older model Viper w/ a quicker time around a curvy track and other times u will see a Z06 w/ quicker times.
