I have some pretty badass videos of some GN's and when I find a link where you can DL them I'll let you know. Two of them are 50MB, and I have no way to host.

I can remember when the GNX first came out.
I knew a guy that had a new IROC and he was telling me about his experience with another friends GNX.
He was alone in his Camero and "Bullethead" had three other 200 pound guys and a huge cooler in the trunk.
The Camero could not even come close to keeping up.
Kinda reminds me of the 3000 GT/Stealth's arrival a few years later.
As for the 3.8/231's reliability; I had a non-turbo one I used as a daily driver for over 9 years and I almost never had trouble.
All I had to change was the water pump, starter, and radiator besides the usual filters, plugs, wires, cap and rotor.

The GN's were not known for their reliability though. The 3.8L v-6 GM engine was not a good piece.
Todd, I know you hate Gm products, but come on. The GM 3.8 V-6 has been around for a long time, because it is practially bullet proof. Even the old 231 (like teh one from the GN's) was unbreakable. Cool race vid, btw.

Really? Like what? The GM corporate 231 is bullet proof. There is no way around it. It's been around for a long time because it's bullet proof. What company keeps an unreliable engine in their line-up for that long? Same with the 4.3, and pretty much every small block V-8 GM ever made (except the 400). GM's problem has never been powertrain, it's been poor design. They didn't have much to offer to consumers. Whatever they had, someone else had a better one.

you know the arguement over whether it is or it is not bulletproof is a mute point, its been around long enough to prove itself... in fact little known to most, the design for the V6 in question was sold to Jeep by Buick in 1967 and then purchased back from them in 1974 when the oil crisis hit(then). At the time of the T-Types and GN's it was being assembled alongside the 350's with the same bore and shared several components. It was reliable and just like any design underwent various "improvements" over the years even to where it is now. Just look how many GM cars have the 3800 in them. As mentioned above several times, GM wouldnt keep using an engine that they had found to be too troublesome.
