If you get tattoos just to impress someone else then YOU shouldn't get them. Mine are a spiritual purpose., Mine can be seen easily if I wanted to show mine, but easily hidden when needed as well. When you deal sometimes with customers, especially the high paying cutomers who have the conservative views, you need to follow certain rules.

But to each their own right?
But I do agree about getting one to impress someone...not smart.
You'll end up hating it. And never get boy/girlfriends names. Spouses I can understand. Just make sure
can becovered up or tattooed over if you ever divorce.
And try to come up with your own idea if you can. Think of a design or something of your own. Try to draw it and then get with the tattoo artist and see if they can draw what you are wanting.

Thats the way I did mine, and am glad I designed my own. When the artist was doing mine; he was saying that he likes to do creative ones that the customer designs on their and then gives them a lil freedom with it too. He also says it irritates him when people just come in and say they want a tat, but they dont know what they want. You should have several ideas of what you want. The best way to do it is; do a lot of internet research for the design that you want. You can always change it up a little to make it yours. Oh and one other thing...stay away from hearts, butterflies, roses, and tribal; they are too common, be creative and be yourself.

heres a link of a great tat website for cool designs www.tattoojohnny.com

I agree. That's what I did with all mine...all original. I would hate to see someone with the same tat that I had.

Custom tats are the best ,I've got a beautiful angel holding a scroll with my daughters name and birthdate in it. Get a lot of compliments on it, it's a masterpiece. On the subject of wrist tats, I've got them on both of my wrist painful! The one on my elbow wasn't as bad as the wrist. Another thing about the wrist is the grain of your skin there, it's grainy so normally it will have to be gone over.

I thought it was funny. I had my wrist and was like "heh...little painful..."
You screamed!!! I laughed!!!! I couldn't believe that ... all the tattoos you have and those hurt. They weren't THAT bad.

I have four tattoos, one on my ankle, one around my upper arm, one on my shoulder blade and one on the small of my back. The one on my lower back was the most painful then the one that wrapped around my arm, on the inside of my arm, that is tender skin... The one on my lower back also the most gratifying. Your inner wrist is super tender, but if you want to prove something to yourself, go for it, you'll make it through... it only hurts for a little while... then even though you feel pain, it isn't has bad because you get used to it somewhat and your body releases endorphins to stop the pain, so it really isn't that bad... most people I know say the noise bothers them more then the pain.
