Default How long will epoxy floor coating lasts?

I am planning to use epoxy floor coating in our garage. The main reason is the extended durability it provides. I know it involves a lot of processes including the preps. I am not sue if it worth the extra time and effort. Is there anyone here actually tried epoxy coating on garage floors? Is it good and do you recommend?

At my old job they tried to use a epoxy on the floors but with XX years of use it's almost impossible to get it clean enough for the epoxy to grip. See what it says to prep the floor before applying it. Prep to the floor is key and so is a good epoxy.

I manufacture explosives used in airbags. All of our floors are coated with regular epoxy paint. The stuff is nasty as hell until it dries, but it lasts forever. If you want a coating that will last do it. You have to do the prep work in order for it to hold up though.
