I think I've heard about the one you speak of. That power is awesome.
But that 540 HEMI is sweet too.

I found the magazine with the 1,150hp engine in it...

Sonny Leonard 762
Engine Type: GM big-block
Block: Donovan aluminum
Bore and Stroke: 4.750x5.375
Guts: Bryant billet crank, BME aluminum rods and pistons
Compression: 10.75:1
Power Secret: Sonny's custom Pro Stock symmetrical-port heads
Output: 1,150 hp
Price: $51,900
Bottom Line: $45.13 per hp, 1.51 hp per cube

thats different...its not really a crate engine...its an engine prepared by a performance shop...

i could buy a bob george prepared, indy cylinder head hemi that would make 1150hp at idle...NA.
Im sure that you can buy an engine already built from lingenfelter or hennessey that would make more than 1150hp...but thats not a crate motor. "Crate motors" come from a motor company, such as ford, GM, or chrysler.

the transmissions in the mirada and the demon are built by bob george, and when i got the mirada trans from him, he told me that it was almost the same as he runs in his hemi challenger, which was in the 8s. he runs chrysler 727s in his cars, with turbo action valve body, and im not sure whose TC he uses.

i dont recall the price, but hes a sponsor of mine, so it wouldnt be the normal price.
