Default 440 question

Does anybody know if they produced a 440 with non-adjustable valves? Just curious. I have a 1966 Dodge Coronet, supposedly has a period correct 440 in it. Can't find any numbers on the block any where in the obvious places. Took the valve covers off last night, planning on adjusting the valves, but to my surprise it has non-adjustable valves. HELP! Do I have a 440?

the 1966 440 will have the small ext valve. the next year will have the big ext valve. both are pre- non leaded valve seats. the 67 440 will be 10.1 compresstion, i think the 66 is same. the 66 has a AFB. the 67 will have the AFB will have the air valve above the throttle plates, very much wanted. the 1968 will have the AVS carb. as will the 68 340, the first year for the 340. all 440 s have a bore of 4.32, and stroke of 3.750. the 67 has intake valve duration of 268 degree. and a exhaust 284 degree. not sure of 66, i think it was less. the 67 has a intake valve lift of .450, the exhaust .450 lift. not sure of 66. there was a standard 440 and HP 440. i think the color of the engine will tell std, or HP. but cant remember what the colors are. my dad had a 67 300 with the std 440. generally all 440 had 4 bdl carb. dads had a holley, junk. the AFBs are much better. as best i know all 440s are non-adjustable valves. they had 2, 440s one standard, turquoise color one HI PERFORMANCE, Hemi Orange color. some times chrysler does things different than they say, just keep that in mind. EDIT: it may be that the 3x2 440 might have adjustable pushrods, but iam not sure. it did have a special cam and lifters. 3 2bdl carbs. with 10.5 c.r. fiberglass hood. black wheels chrome lug nuts. IF there is one that is adjustable it would the 1969 1/2 6 barrel, but i think not.
