Ramcharger, Trailduster & Power Wagon Grrrr!! Tough Trucks! The Dodge Ramcharger and Plymouth Trailduster were full size SUV's that had good looks and brute strength. The Dodge Power Wagon was comparable to them in toughness, but came in pickup truck form only.

Red face Power door lock problem

I have a 1985 Dodge Ram charger. My power door locks are locking and unlocking by itself. I need to know if I can pull the fuse and temporarily disable it until I can fix it. And if it is control by a fuse which one control it. Also can anyone tell me what is causing this problem. I looked at the fuse block but did not see a fuse labeled power locks. Will this drain the battery if I do nothing

Sounds like a short in the wiring or a switch somewhere. Yes you can pull the fuse and just use the key to lock/unlock the doors until you find out whats wrong. Time to get some wiring diagrams and start tracing wires.
