Are you saying it's overheating because it goes to the third mark? If so, the car is fine. Overheating is the needle pegging at the top of the gauge.

The end links are what secure the ends of the sway bar to the control arms, and by the sounds of it, the same things you replaced. Good to hear the clunk is (mostly) gone!

Could be either I suppose, though I'd lean more heavily to a bad wheel bearing over a bad CV shaft causing an issue.

If the mounts are bad, they will cause all sorts of NVH. Use Dodge ones though as aftermarket ones are not fluid filled.

You could change everything in the system out to a non-immobilizer system. That's kind of the whole purpose of the system: to make it difficult to steal your car without the right key ;)

The ECM sounds like that's about all that's left. I'd hate to say give it a go, but at present, I can't think of much else. If it isn't the ECM, it's usually the ASD, but you've checked that.

What type of transmission, so we can try and find a part number? The farthest back seal I can think of would be the differential cover/pan seal. Without looking, I'd venture to guess the transmission...

I don't know too much about the 1st Gens, but you might have an EGR issue. 2nd Gens (except some early 00) didn't have the EGR setup.
