anywho I got a pleasant surprise today: my interwebs are faster!

 

Still poor upload considering the download speed....

 

What do you need faster internet for?

 

10:1 is a perfectly acceptable ratio for typical residential use, don'tcha think?

I'd feed HeyYou's left nut to a cur dog to get broadband rates like Jigabop's!

I'm happily living with 30/6, and the same ping times.
Usually, it is not the connection speed that is the bottleneck/slow point.

[Edit] As for Like/Dislike; on the forum I Admin (under vB), we have a Thanks button, as we deemed Dislike to have too much potential for fostering member frictions... but the Thanks (or Like) allow for members to easily show appreciation for content without choking the database with little posts that don't add to the thread value... you also get to see which members contribute the most content that is appreciated by others.
Whilst the add-on is free, there is a $$ attached to upgrading to the latest vB version.

 

I might post some minor objections to that....... Of course, If you could get ME speeds like that, I would probably help you cut it off.......

 

I couldn't imagine speeds like that. I've got 15.18 Mbps down, 1.1 Mbps up and a 19ms ping.

 

And I've got 1.75 meg down and 0.5 up and I'm more than happy with it lol. My ping is 12-15ms. While streaming HD video isn't practical, I can remote desktop and stream audio all while others are using the connection so I am happy.

 

A cur is a mongrel or a mutt. You can't feed just one gonad to a thoroughbred -- they feel entitled to both and will bite your hand thinking you're hiding the other one.

I figured it'd be nice to leave the right one for him so he'd have something to scratch in the mornings.

I can't say I'd blame you for not being in love with the idea.

Ya know, you might try rounding up a stray dog and heading on down to Comcast. Maybe you could work something out.
