Default My 94 Voyager

So I picked up this little Voyager last fall and have started into rebuild/refinish of it. I'm going for a rally look on it, because I can.

The day we brought it home

Prepping for paint

Smoked out tails.

Blacked and smoked

Refinished engine, upgraded with 52mm tb, ported plenum, mildly ported heads.

Shot with the wheels refinished.

Final shot of wheels with airbrush work.

Now that I have the engine squared away, I've lowered the nose about 1" to level things out. I'll be fixing the rear brakes this weekend. Then I'll be back into getting the body ready for paint, building a rally bar, and getting a roof basket. It will be getting painted Shadow Grey and Black 2 tone.

You're off to a great start. I really like that body style. How did you lower the nose?

Spirit struts with cut van springs. It was good for around 1.5" while keeping factory ride quality.
I love this body style, they're not pretending to be anything other than a van , and they're light, so simple mods make them quite quick. This is actually our 2nd, the 1st being a 95 Voyager Sport, which is painted shadow grey, with black war paint stripes, and 17" wheels.

Got my "rally" bar built for the front Saturday:

Custom rally bar

And proceeded to paint the bar and the black section of my 2 tone:

Black done

The exhaust is getting done tomorrow. Tires are ordered. I will be spraying the rest of the van Shadow Grey this weekend.

Must have done something right.

Who says a van can't go off-road?
Figured I'd give a quick update. In the process of researching for a 6G75 Mivec swap, which I hope to start in the next month or so.

Looks great! What type of paint did you use on the body? How many coats of clear?

Thanks.

As soon as I get our other van back on the road, I will be digging into my 3.8L Mivec swap and building the trans to handle the extra power.
