Default How many hours of labor to replace heated seat

I was just wondering how many hours of labor is customary to replace the heated seat element on a 2013 RAM 1500 passenger seat? The dealer is quoting me 4 hours. The seat does have the cooling. That seems a bit excessive?

Default Time to ditch the dealer?

OK. So I called the other dealer in town. He gave me a quote of 2.5 hours to do the work. They use the stock AllData hour quotes. What the heck? I think that it is time to ditch my current dealer and go to the other dealer in town.

One would think that Dodge would have a standard time quote for each repair. I guess not.

Yeah I know that they have to remove the seat. I am just trying to figure out why one dealer wants 4.0 hours and the other dealer 2.5 hours.

I suspect that the dealer that is high has a new guy that can't get it done at the already inflated dealer hours.

Is the quote for both the seat bottom and seat back heating element or just one of the two? mitchell book time is 3.1 hours for both

It is for both. The second dealer with 2.5 hours uses AllData.

the warranty time is usually 60% of the customer pay time.
