Default anyone with heated mirrors? quick question

Hey everyone, so i picked up some heated mirrors at the junkyard and put them on my truck.

my question is when you turn on your rear window defroster do the little heater symbols on the mirrors light up? mine dont and im wondering if the heaters in the mirrors dont work. waiting for some frost on the mirrors to find out for sure but just wondering if the mirrors are supposed to light up

They don't light up. If you put your palm on them you should feel them warm up.

The only things like that I've seen light up on car's mirrors are the blind spot warnings and maybe a small dome light (my Charger has both).
