Default TC lock unlock

Hello all new here, I pick up a 2000 Ram 2500 V10 Excab with 56,000 runs great and pulls great was the reason i got it, I'm wondering when I'm going about 35 and give it gas it seams like the tc unlocks then locks back up does not do this at higher speeds, also the tc locks up right after going in to 3rd with OD on or off, is this just a dodge thing that it shifts when it wants i don't remember this in my old 96 1500.

Is your OD working properly?
Try this to confirm its locking and unlocking...

A 2000 with only 56,000 miles????? How in hades did you find THAT? I would suggest buying a lottery ticket or three.

Welcome to DF!

Behavior sounds fairly normal. The V-10 has GOBS of torque, so 'early' TCC lockup really isn't out of line. Unlocking at low RPM/relatively high load situations seems normal as well.

I was think the same got to have a light foot taking off in the rain...lol, This was a good find i have to say o yeah it's a 4x4 also this thing pulls my 36Ft travel trailer pretty well at about 9000 pounds loaded, I've added the fold out tow mirrors and going the upgrade the headlights next and CD player.

Probably barely notices the trailer.......

Ah, Ok, that's pretty much in line with what I expected. Still and all, I think you got a great deal.
