Usually caused by light rust that builds up in the rear drums when sitting.

Even though this vehicle has disc brakes all around, are they still using a drum with shoes inside of the rear discs for the parking brake?

Ok, some had 4 wheel disc brakes and some didn't. I know that my 08 Ram has the drum parking brake inside of the rear rotors, not sure about the Caliber, since our 09 SXT has rear drums. Dad's 08 Grand Caravan has rear disc but the parking brake uses the pads/calipers to lock the wheels, so I really don't know about yours.

Have a 94 Grand Cherokee Limited that used the shoes. Thought maybe that "technology" had been left behind. Without the service manual, which will not work on my computer, I am left with online auto parts providers for information. Thanks for the input.
